Mosquito (2019) Director: Mimi Koku (Nigeria) Runtime: 20 mins, A short experimental and psychological film following 'Sage' - a 17 year old girl struggling with anxiety. As time passes, Sage's worries soon take the form of a sinister presence.
It's Not My Turn To Die (2020) Director: Aanu Ademuson (Nigeria) Runtime: 16 mins A short meditative film about the day in the life of a young melancholic woman named Kelechi. The film is an abstract look on the themes of depression and despair.
Tolu (2018) Nadine Ibrahim (Nigeria) Runtime: 12 mins Tolu tells the story of a young girl that lives with her family in a fishing community on the water in Lagos, Nigeria. In order to prove herself valuable to the community and break the gender stereotype, she embarks on a journey by herself into the sea to try and catch as many fish as possible.
Losing My Religion (2018) Damilola E. Orimogunje (Nigeria) Runtime: 15 mins The film’s plot is based almost entirely on “Losing My Religion“, a short story from Nike Campbell-Fatoki‘s 2016 publication “Bury Me Come Sunday Afternoon“. It tells the story of a young boy who is failed by all the institutions he believes in (i.e. church, family & school).
