Has your post ever gotten you in trouble? Have you thought you were building a good online relationship with a prospect or forging a potentially beneficial offline one?

With the advent of digital technology, communication has gone beyond face-to-face interaction to one of social media platforms. Currently, social media has become a convenient means of communication. However, how effective is it in connecting and forming a more, deeper meaningful level of relationships?

People, especially millennials, prefer conversing through social media because it appears to make communicating seamless. Nonetheless, it sometimes diminishes authentic & valid communication.

Whether posting threads or replying to a comment on social media, these "conversations" can sometimes lead to challenges in communication etiquette. People often say whatever comes to the mind without thinking about how the person at the other end will interpret it. This can have detrimental effects that impact business and personal relationships and result in unintended outcomes that can often lead to anxiety, which impacts our mental health.

As online citizens we need to begin to reflect on and work toward creating two-way respectful online conversations and at the same time, ensure that we don't negate building offline relationships.

In this panel discussion "ME, MY POST & I: FROM ONLINE TO OFFLINE" - featuring a mix of experts in business, social media, health sectors - the audience will gain a better understanding of:
.
[1] Social media communication and the responsibility that comes with it.
[2] Basic social media etiquette
[3] How best to leverage on social media relationships for self-improvement
[4] Managing abuse/trolling on social media.
[5] Improving online customer transactions for a positive offline clientele relationship.
