Every day, thousands of people in Nigeria discover the internet for the first time. While many of them go ahead to complete tasks they consider sensitive such as making an online payment, or providing their BVN for user verification, a lot more hesitate.

This is because Nigeria is a relatively low-trust environment, and the internet is still relatively novel. But how do you build a high-performing business that attracts both internet-savvy customers as well as customers who are new to - and wary of - the internet?

These are some of the challenges that business owners in Africa face. During this panel session, business leaders from industries such as digital media, ride-sharing, agro-financing, and micro-lending will share lessons on how they’ve built successful digital businesses with thousands of customers.

We’ve seen that the best-performing businesses are the ones that take a community-first approach to building products. Come find out how to build a successful online business in a low-trust environment like Nigeria, and how to attract all types of customers, including those who're mistrustful of the internet.

After the panel discussion, you’ll have a good grasp of:
1. The fundamentals of building a successful digital brand in a low-trust environment like Nigeria
2. How to attract all types of customers, especially those new to - and wary of - the internet
3. How successful businesses on the continent leverage human-centric approaches peculiar to Africa, to build businesses that customers love.
