The legal industry has experienced tremendous changes around the world and with the insights we have at our disposal, Lagos/ Nigeria has not been spared this change.
More law firms are leaning towards automating parts of their practice to provide more specialized value to the market, which has seen a rise in demand for quick and compact legal services; this has indeed affected how legal services are bought and sold.
There is a rise of legal tech companies offering convenience, speed and simplified access to legal experts/resources, creating a commoditized version of the brick and mortar business model.
This panel session aims to address the business development shifts that are taking place and the customer behaviour that is being spurred on by social media and mobile software applications entering the market. We will bring together key players within the law and technology ecosystems, including legal practitioners, innovators/developers of legal-tech solutions in Nigeria, academics, law students, regulators, and most importantly we will have an interactive discussion involving the clients or prospects who buy legal services.
These issues are at the core of ongoing conversations around innovation and disruption within the legal and technology ecosystems and we are excited to organize this event.
