"Design Thinking has taken center stage in almost every industry. The Legal Industry is not an exception. The legal market is a transformation phase. More than ever, there has been an increasing expectation to find more innovative approaches to the delivery of legal services. Following the rapid disruption caused by the fourth industrial revolution, an opportunity to transform and re-energize the legal industry is here.

Legal Design is the application of human-centered design principles to the world of law, to make legal systems and services more human-centered, usable, and satisfying.

Our session at the SMW will focus on how law firms can take a design thinking approach to the provision of legal services in order to meet the needs of modern day businesses.

Legal Innovation efforts are not all about ""apps"" ""chatbots"" and ground breaking ""tech"" solutions alone. It also takes into consideration developing forwarding thinking business operation models such as offering industry specific de-clustered services that are designed to meet pressing needs.

Business owners and Individuals also need to understand that the delivery of Legal services has changed. The popularity of Legal as a Service models is proof of this fact. Legal Services are now an essential part of 21st century businesses and they should not be viewed as unnecessary at any stage of the business. "
