Limited Capacity seats available

There is a perception that women are thought of as second choice when stories are being presented. Shouldn’t their voices be considered at concept stage.

This session will focus on how the BBC deliberately started a project called 50/50 that encourages more female participation / contribution on programs across the BBC. The panel will debate how various styles of reporting news can lead to increased female and youth participation giving women and young people a louder voice with content they enjoy consuming and sharing. We will showcase how we have done this across Africa for our tv, radio and digital programs.
