Deji is Partner of The Lodt Law Offices, Lagos, Nigeria. An enterprise lawyer and corporate governance/sustainability advisor, his areas of focus include Finance, TME (technology, media and entertainment) and Energy. His legal and governance expertise has been utilised by institutions and corporates by way of professional engagements, committee appointments and speaking engagements. Such institutions include IFC, CBN, ICGN (UK), UNESCO, Creative Scotland. He was appointed onto the UNESCO African 'pool of experts' on the 2005 Convention in 2012. A year later, he was named a Deloitte Scholar of Corporate Governance by the ICGN (a network of the world's leading institutional investors with over USD34trillion in AUM). Als a member of the Integrated Business Reporting Committee of ICGN, he served on the team that developed ICGN's Integrated Businesd Reporting Guidelines in 2015. In 2018, IFC engaged him to advice on aspects of its credit infrastructure support for Central Bank of Nigeria in regard to the notice-based Nigerian Credit Registry. He is a go-to expert in the Nigerian TME space, having advised leaders in TV/film content and carriage (including Ebonylife and R2TV) as well as in fintech/e-payment (including payments services providers such as Paymaster, Easyfuel, etc).
He has facilitated major events in SMW Lagos in the last few years, including on topics such as 'Technology and the SDGs' (2015) and 'Fake News' (2018).
He is facilitator and will be moderating the event 'Big Data: Mining and the Man' in the 2020 SMW Lagos.
